I gave a heart
He broke it into pieces
I gave my mind
He shattered it with useless words I gave my body
He used it as if it was his.
He left me broken
He left me heartless
And mindless I am nothing
But a doll, with glassy eyes
Waiting for someone to fill up the empty space It was no use.
I waited for no one
And I open my eyes
This isn't what love is supposed to be.
I picked myself up
And sew the gaping hole inside I am new and free
There isn't anybody to stop me I gave myself back.
I don't need love from someone else
All I need is appreciation From my own self
