So I got the ebook version of The Cellar, back in September however I have super busy and unable to read it. I was thinking why not do it over the Thanksging Holiday? So that is exactly why I did and let me tell you it was far from a disappointment. My question for you as a reader have you ever gotten go engrossed in a book that you couldn't set it down? That's probably a yes. Well my next question for you is have you ever been so terrified and so excited all at the same time that you just couldn't pull your eyes away from the words on the paper/screen in front of you? If not, I have to say that before even reading the blurb on the back of the book The Cellar will do that to you. The Cellar put me through an emotional roller coaster the entire time I was reading it. I say that I enjoyed it thoroughly no matter how emotionally drained it has left me! After finishing the very last page of the book I just sat there thinking about everything I had just got done reading. I have read a couple of Natasha Preston's books before however none of them have ever left me as emotionaly drained as this one has. I felt anger, fear, hope, and so many different emotions that I don't know how to describe them all.
The Cellar starts off not really allowing the reader to truly know anything about the main character except that her name was Summer. That much she gives the reader. Not to far into the story that Summer is snatched by this man, who she has never met before, we later learn that he calls himself, Clover. She is put into a cellar(aka the title of the book). However the cellar was not a normal cold, dingy, basement type cellar. No, it is a bright, cheery, colorful basement that had three other girls. Clover is for lack of better words, a madman. The entire time I am reading this book I am thinking that this is man has a few screws loose... he's just not right. Do you know what I mean? I won't give to much more away as the best part of the book has yet to be told this book will your emotions at bay so they will never go off to far without coming back to you. The intenity of this book I wasn't quite ready for when I began reading so I recommend taking time and setting it aside to read this book because once you pick it up it won't be one you can put down!
