What you should know is that High Child is the fifth book in the Red-Line series of books; however, I read this as a stand-alone novel and let me start this review off by saying that you do not need to have read any of its prequels to follow this book. It is one of those books that is really easy to pick up and follow. The way Bishop was able to shift from one person to the next with vivid descriptions and very realistic characters. From the moment I held the book in my hands and read the back blurb I was hooked. This isn't a great book its a phenomenal one that twists and turns within every page in such a way that it forces you to keep reading even if you want or need to put it down. I look forward to reading more from J.T. Bishop.
